"Academic Resilience Stories from Ukraine" documentary film published

i-strategies presented the first project result, the documentary film "Academic Resilience Stories from Ukraine," to project partners in the context of the second in-person meeting of the Academies4Ukraine project, which was held in Helsinki on 26 and 27 September 2024.

The film combines the interviews collected with project partners and the pictures shared by them to tell the stories of those who, in despite the dangers, are fighting to guarantee the right to study for all Ukrainian university students in Ukraine and abroad.

The documentary film is divided into five chapters, plus a prologue and an epilogue, to present a different perspectives of the academic resilience through which Ukrainian universities are resisting Russian aggression.

From digitalisation to caring for the academic community, by way of international academic solidarity and the skills needed to strengthen academic resilience, the documentary shows the different practices and experiences to adapt the academic system to a war context by continuing to ensure the right of education

In the next months the documentary film will be presented in the context of five international events, which will be held in Ukraine, Italy, Latvia and Finland, to a public of university students and scholars to spread the awareness about the fighting for academic freedom and the right to education the Ukrainian universities are conducting in extremely difficult and dangerous situation
